When reporting for duty, flight attendants must be in possession of the following
required items:
1. Regulation uniform including wing (wear) and luggage (possess)
2. PSA Airlines Employee ID Badge
3. Valid passport
4. Working wrist watch
5. Download, sync, and open EFAM
6. Small flashlight/penlight (concealed)
7. Sharp Object (concealed)
8. Inflight EFB (fully charged and updated) - ANS-Crew members will report for duty 45
minutes prior to the scheduled departure time unless advised of a shorter report time
because of rest requirements.
Flight attendants are required to complete the following correspondence checks...
1. Company e-mail
2. Comply365
3. Information in V-Files/Company boards - ANS-The Crew Briefing NEW DATES must
be accomplished prior to each flight
The FA Briefing TEAMS is initiated by the FWD FA and should include... - ANS-Each
flight attendant must keep his or her Flight Attendant Manual while performing assigned
duties
Following completion of the preflight check, the FWD FA must immediately notify the
captain of any discrepancies - ANS-Flight attendants are required to adhere to the
following time parameters
35 minutes prior to departure- begin pre-boarding
30 minutes proper to departure- begin general boarding
5 minutes prior to departure- cabin secure; ready to close MCD
All required FAs must be onboard the aircraft for boarding and deplaning and must
remain onboard at all times while passengers are onboard. The Jetway cannot be
considered as an extension of the aircraft - ANS-PSA is a no carry on baggage program
carrier
, Once CSA delivers the GFFM, the FWD FA will notify the captain passenger count
received - ANS-An individual exit row briefing is required for all persons seated in an
exit row. A person may not occupy an exit seat if the person lacks sufficient flex mobility
strength or in both arms and hands, and both legs. A person may not sit or occupy an
exit seat is the person is less than 15 years of age.
When all customers have have boarded or when the exit seat are full, the (AFT) FA
must individually brief exit seat occupants with the following information in English:
Safety Card - ANS-An oversized Cary on item may be accommodated in a cabin seat
for which the customer has purchased a ticket. Unusual/Large Articles that are
accommodated must:
1. Be properly secured by a seatbelt or another tie down having enough strength to
eliminate the possibility of shifting under all normal anticipated flight and ground
conditions.
2. The packaged or covered in a manner to avoid possible injury to passenger
compartments.
3. Not obscured any passengers view of required signs and/or placards
4. Windows seats other than an Emergency Exit Row
5. Weigh less than 170 lbs
Compliance Checks are conducted:
1. During the final stages of the boarding process
2. Immediately prior to closing the Main Cabin Door
3. Before every takeoff and landing
Every 10 minutes in flight - ANS-When the FWD FA has received the cabin secure exit
row briefing verification from the AFT FA, the FWD FA will notify the captain "Cabin
secure, clear to close" The captain will respond "clear to close" or inform the FAs it is
not safe to close
After both the MCD and GSD are locked, the AFT FA will visually confirm the security of
both doors, and verbally advise the FWD FA "cross check complete" - ANS-The FWD
FA must notify the CA that the Cain is ready for departure with the verbal signal, "seated
and stowed". The FWD FA then will close the flight deck door
The safety briefing is a required announcement that must be delivered verbatim and in
its entirety prior to takeoff, including through flights where no new customers board.
1. Place demo equipment in a secure, easy to reach location
2. Do not place or store the demo equipment in the micro bin during or after Safety
briefing
3. The micro bin is not secured when it is open
