Intermittent Fasting
Abstract
Intermittent fasting has been claimed to provide health benefits for those who partake in it.
However, fasting has been traditionally known for its links with spiritual and religious practices
among different religions and cultures (Tahreem et al., 2022). Therefore, this study aimed to
evaluate fasting in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism and decipher its effects on those practicing it.
The study will also analyze intermittent fasting and the diet's side effects on men's and women's
health to determine its safety and benefits for those partaking in it. Furthermore, the study will
trigger future research concerning intermittent fasting and its adoption in the modern world. The
study will conduct literature reviews on previous studies to elaborate on the importance of
fasting while explaining the benefits and its adverse effects on people's health standards (Dong et
al., 2020). The evaluation of the contradicting ideas will indicate how different researchers and
studies view fasting concerning religious and personal gain. As such, the study will argue that
fasting can be a proficient method of losing weight as it is in gaining weight (Selekman and
Zavadivker. 2021). Due to the recentness of the topic on intermittent fasting, there was a
deficiency in data to promote extensive research and evaluation into the issue. Therefore, the
conclusions and inferences would provide incomplete information while allowing the research
users to extend their biases concerning intermittent fasting. The study's results indicate that
intermittent fasting has both negative and positive effects on those partaking in it (Laza, 2020).
The study also provides neutral results that are subject to further research. The study will provide
