I plugged in an OBDII code reader and researched the troubleshoot code as a failing transmission fluid pressure sensor. Describe how you went about planning a project that you completed from start to finish. - I did a brake job on my vehicle last year and I planned the project by researching the repair procedures, the cost of materials from various sources, and tools needed. I then successfully carried out the repair1. Tell us about a time when you were proud of the way you organized a job. - At a previous job, I was a front desk agent at a boutique hotel in Carmel, CA. For a client I organized a honeymoon getaway by asking questions, listening to his requests and assisting in selecting a room and coordinating floral and dining arrangements. During check out, I inquired about their stay and they told me that everything was perfect. It was a very fulfilling moment for me. Describe a time when you were working on an important deadline, but something of higher priority came up and prevented you from making the deadline. - I was writing a paper for school and I missed the deadline on it because I was working a shift in a restaurant. I worked hard to manage my time, but I was taking approximately 13 credits and working full time in order to pay for school. I submitted the paper late and received a 15% penalty putting my grade at a B-. 1. Tell us about a time you didn't understand the instructions you were given for a task - - Once I was tasked with changing the headlights on my vehicle and I had to remove the bumper in order to complete the task. I checked out a repair manual from the library and read the procedure on how to remove the bumper and I eventually completed the job successfully. Tell us about a time you had to choose between group or individual work - When I was in college Algebra I, I had to choose to work individually or in a group. We were frequently given the option to work on homework in class and I chose to work in a group. I found that it was much easier to work together in order accomplish the task. 1. Tell us about a time at work, or in school, when someone really got on your nerves. - I normally work a 3pm to 11pm shift at a hotel and there was this coworker of mine who would usually come in after me 10 minutes late. I politely addressed the conflict and told the colleague how I felt and ever since that interaction, he showed up on time. 13. Tell us about a time when someone criticized something you made, or something you did. - One time a manager at work criticized a procedure at work and I looked up to him as a mentor and was eager to hear about how I can improve my performance. 1. Describe a time when a co-worker, or friend, wanted to do something that you did not agree with. - At a front desk job, a coworker told me that we could sit in the back and watch the cameras instead of actually being at the front desk.
