Health and Fitness Certifications - ANS-ACSM Group Exercise Instructor (GEI)
ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C)
ACSM Group Exercise Instructor (GEI) - ANS-Qualified to work in a group exercise
setting with apparently healthy individuals and those with health challenges, who have
been cleared by their physicians for independent exercise to enhance quality of life,
improve physical fitness, manage health risk and promote lasting health behavior
change.
ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) - ANS-Qualified to develop and implement
exercise programs for apparently healthy individuals or those who have medical
clearance to exercise.
ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) - ANS-Qualified to work with same
populations as CPT, but also special populations with medically controlled diseases,
who have been cleared by their physician for independent exercise.

(CEP)
ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP)
ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) - ANS-Qualified to work with
clients with, or at high risk for, cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic diseases.
ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) - ANS-Qualified to work with
clients who are currently under the care of a physician for cardiovascular, pulmonary,
,metabolic, orthopedic/musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, or immunological/hematological
disease.
SPECIALTY CERTIFICATIONS - ANS-ACSM/ACS Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer
(CET)
ACSM/NCHPAD Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer (CIFT)
ACSM/NPAS Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist (PAPHS)
ACSM/ACS Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer (CET) - ANS-Qualified to train men and
women who were recently diagnosed with cancer and have not yet begun treatment,
are receiving treatment, have completed treatment or are a survivor experiencing
chronic or late effects from disease or treatment; and are apparently healthy or have the
presence of known stable cardiovascular disease with low risk for complications with
vigorous exercise and do not have any relative or absolute contraindications for
exercise testing.
ACSM/NCHPAD Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer (CIFT) - ANS-Qualified to assesses,
develop and implement an individualized exercise program for persons with a physical,
sensory or cognitive disability, who are healthy or have medical clearance to perform
independent physical activity.
An ACSM or NCCA-accredited exercise/fitness certification (e.g., ACE, NCSF, NASM,
NFPT, NSCA, Cooper Institute);
ACSM/NPAS Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist (PAPHS) - ANS-Qualified to
promotes physical activity in public health at the national, state and/or local level. The
PAPHS engages and educates key decision makers about the impact of, and need for
legislation, policies and programs that promote physical activity.
ACSM/ARP Certified Ringside Physician (CRP) - ANS-Qualified to provide specialized
knowledge and care to boxers, mixed martial artists and other competitors in the
combat arts.
Health define - ANS-A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not
merely the absence of disease or infirmity
Pain; discomfort - ANS-Character: constricting, squeezing, buurning, heaviness, or
heavy feeling
Location: substernal, across midthrorax, anteriorly; in one or both arms, shoulders, in

Provoking factors: exercise or exertion, excitement, stress, after meals, cold weather

PA - ANS-any bodily movement produced by the contraction of skeletal muscles that
results in a substantial increase in caloric requirement over resting values
Exercise- - ANS-Type of PA consisting of planned structured and repetitive bodily
movement done to improve and or maintain one or more components of physical fitness
Physical Fitness - ANS-ability to carry out daily tasks with vigor and alertness, without
undue fatigue and with ample energy to enjoy leisure time pursuits and meet
