TITLE: HETROGENEOUS CATALYSIS
What is Catalysis ?
The process in which the increase in the rate of a
chemical reaction occurs due to the participation of
an additional substance called catalyst, is called
catalysis.
A Catalyst is any substance which increase the rate
of a chemical reaction and is chemically unchanged
at the end of the reaction.
A catalyst lowers the activation energy of a
chemical reaction and is neither a reactant nor a
product.
With catalysts, the reactions occurs faster and
with less energy.
