ELECTRIC CHARGES & FIELD….----
1. What is electricity?
It is the branch of physics which deals with the study about electric charges & it's
priorities.
2. What is electic charges?
According to chemistry atom is a smallest particle of matter which can only 10 part in
chemical reaction,but according to physics atom is not a final continuant of matter rather
it can be sub divided to atom then we get a positively charged particle known as proton
& negatively charged particle known as electron.Thesa proton & electrons are turned
into electric charges.
PROPOTISE OF ELECTRIC CHARGES….---
1.Two like charges ara repell to each other.
2.Two unlike charges ara attracted to each other.
Electricity further can be divided into 3 branches.
(a) Electrostatic
It is a branch of electricity which deals with the study about electric charges when they
are at rest.
(b) Current electricity
It is branch of electricity which deals with the study about electric charges when they move in
conductor &electrolyte
(C/) Electronics
It is the branch of electricity which deals with the study about charges when they move in
vaccum tube & semiconductor diode.
HISTORICAL IDEA ABOUT CHARGES….
About 600BC a Greek philosopher "Thales of miletus"was found a resinous substance known
as amber at the shore of "Baltic Sea"when he rubbed this amber with the woolen cloth then he
observed that both are electrified.
The same observation was found when glass rod is with silk & dry hair comb
Electricity comes from the word "ectrum" which is a Greek word of ambur.
