The oral cavity extends from the lips isthmus
oropharyngeal

Oropharyngeal isthmus is of the mouth & pharynx Bounded Superiorly by

tongue .

oral cavity is subdivided into Vestibule & Oral proper.
upper vestibule
1. Vestibule

A slit like space between the & lips /cheeks Vestibule

Communicates with exterior fissure.

the mouth the oral lower vestibule

When the is closed, it communicates with oral cavity from behind
jaw proper
the 3rd molar teeth .
The cheeks form the lateral wall of the

Buccinator muscle is found in the cheek .

opening the opposite the 2nd

molar tooth marks the opening of the duct of the parotid gland
.
