Summary Anatomy of eye
eye consists of several key structures: the cornea, a transparent dome that refracts light onto the lens; the lens, which further focuses light onto the retina; the retina, a layer of light-sensitive cells at the back of the eye that converts light into electrical signals; the optic nerve, which transmits these signals to the brain for visual processing; the iris, a colored ring that controls the size of the pupil; and the pupil, the adjustable opening that regulates the amount of light entering the eye. Muscles around the eye control its movements, ensuring precise focus and alignment.
