Question 1
Miss Aliyah is the owner of a bookstore named MBH Enterprise. It is a family-owned business that
involved in buying and selling of various types of books. The following transactions took place in
November 2021.
Date Transactions
Nov 1 The owner, Miss Aliyah deposited RM100,000 into the business bank account.
Nov 3 MBH Enterprise purchased bookshelves worth RM25,000 on credit from IKEA
Damansara to display the popular books in their shop.
Nov 7 MBH Enterprise purchased the top world sequel ‘Lord of the Rings’ novel in bulk,
costing RM50,000 from Hobbit Trading. The amount of RM50,000 was paid by cheque
immediately.
Nov 10 The business bought a different series of seven fantasy novels that tell the stories of
Harry Potter, worth RM45,000 on credit from Book Depository Sdn Bhd.
Nov 15 The business sold 20 sets of novels to Perpustakaan Negeri for RM10,000. They paid
in cash RM2,000 and the balance was paid by cheque.
Nov 18 The business returned 10 novels worth RM10,000 to Hobbit Trading due to some
pages not being printed and was refunded accordingly.
Nov 20 The business issued a cheque to Book Depository Sdn Bhd to settle the outstanding
amount.
Nov 25 Amazon.com bought 50 books on Malaysian history worth RM20,000 from the
business. The payment is due in 30 days from the invoice date.
Nov 27 The business paid its staff commission of RM10,000 and the payment was made using
a cheque.
Nov 29 Miss Aliyah took ten novels worth RM2,000 as her personal contribution to children
with special needs in Hospital Raub.
Required:
