, PREFACE
English Learning Materials for Senior High School is a series of
English learning materials for Students high school grade ten. This
book aims to build students' attitudes, knowledge, and
communication skills through learning experiences in the form of
various active communication activities, both through receptive and
productive English language activities.
English Learning Materials for Senior High School is focused on
improving students' speaking skills, so the materials emphasize the
speaking cycle. The activities in the learning materials cover
listening and speaking skills accompanied by several activities for
sub-skills, such as pronunciation vocabulary, and grammar. The
content and learning experiences in each chapter in this book are
generally arranged by following stages that are in accordance with
the basic principles of learning a foreign language, namely the
presentation or modeling stage (presentation), the practice stage
(practice), and the use stage (production). This book also
encourages the use of group learning in various forms, with the aim
that students interact a lot, so as to build the ability to
communicate and work in teams.
This book needs to be continuously improved. Therefore, the
writer expects suggestions, input, and criticism from readers for the
improvement and refinement of this book in the next edition. For
these contributions, the writer expresses her gratitude. Finally, the
writer hopes that this book can provide benefits in the efforts of the
Indonesian nation and state to build a new civilization and prepare
the golden generation in the future.
