Mcdonald's objectives & product.
Companies set their business objective by reviewing their business scope, If the scope of
any organisation is to serve national customers (favorite chicken), they will set business
objectives accordingly. If they are international (Mcdonald's) they will set their business
objectives accordingly.
If Mcdonald's were a smaller organisation in a domestic environment then their main goal
would be to survive, run efficiently and grow. For example favourite chicken and ribs are a
small organisation which sells fast food just like Mcdonald's such as burgers, chicken
desserts and drinks (Favorite Chicken & Ribs, 2018) , because they are not as big as them,
their sole objective would be to expand, survive and more recognition. The reason these
would their objectives is because they are small and don't have much of a target audience
like Mcdonald's has.
Their strategies would be to build their brand stronger by delivering customer satisfaction to
help them survive and grow unlike Mcdonald's, their objectives is to be more of a socially
responsible company and to increase their market share (Mcdonalds.com, 2018) as they
are global and large. When offering products it is important that organisations take in
consideration the size and structure. Mcdonald's can offer a wide range of products like they
do because they have a wide range of customers and more likely to be successful as they
are global.
Small business like Favourite Chicken are an advantage to Mcdonald's as they don't oppose
a threat to them because they cant branch out like Mcdonald's can because they don't have
enough resources. Bigger organisations have more of a higher structure than smaller
organisations, for example Mcdonald's has a restaurant manager and in the restaurant alone
has a floor, shift, trainee floor and second restaurant manager (Ahmed, 2015).
