Video’s Intervention Methodology

Video 1: Brainstorming

Data kunnen we halen uit:
- The past  the elements  hoe het echt in het verleden was
- The future  scenario analysis  voorspellen  ‘desired behavior’desired behavior’

Intervention cyclus: diagnosis  design  change  evaluation
komen

Brainstorming heeft 2 soorten elementen:
1. Practical application:
 Procedure
 Activity/technique
 Tools to implement activities

2. Theoretical foundation
- Kritiek wordt vermeden  defer judgement
- Kwantiteit is belangrijker dan kwantiteit  quantity breeds quality
- Creatieve ideeën zijn heel belangrijk  Decision making is improved by considering creative
ideas

Brainstorming: het doel
- Het is een activiteit voor de groep
- Genereren van ideeën
 Ideas can be: goals, solutions, strategies

Brainstorming: 4 rules
1. Kritiek is niet toegestaan
2. Free-wheeling is welkom  laat mensen op elkaar voortbouwen
3. Kwantiteit boven kwaliteit  later selecteren op kwaliteit
4. Je wil verbetering en verbinding van ideeën

Video 2 Group Model Building

Decision making
1. Diagnosis  2. Design  3. Evaluation  4. Change

Group model building aims to find the structure that explains past behaviour
- Build a coherent group picture on the problem
- Design phase: identify target and control variables

Problem
= discrepancy between real situation and desired situation

- Decisions komen voort uit problems

System view
- All decisions are embedded in feedback loops
- Decisions in their most basic form:
 Compare current situation with desired situation
 Decide how to reduce the discrepancy
