TMN3704 Assignment 03 Latest Updated 2024
With Complete Solutions
Task 1
4 key concepts-
Symbols - example, 6 x 3- multiplication symbol
Notations - example, ∞ infinity symbol
Numerical relationships- example, 2 + 3 = 5 addition relationship sum
Geometric relationships
Geometry is a branch of mathematics the size, shapes, angles and
dimensions of things. Example : 3 ; 5 ; 7 ; 9 . is a geometric sequence.
,Task 3
Step 1
1.1 The arrangement of numbers in a triangle known as a Pascal’s triangle is such
that the first and last number in each row is 1, and the remaining numbers are
the sum of the two closest numbers in the row above.
1.2
1.3
, 1.4
Step 2
By first placing a 1 along the left and right sides, I created the triangle. I then
added the two numbers above to the left and right of each place in the triangle,
filling the triangle out from the top to bottom.
Step 3
Addition
Each of the middle numbers is the sum of two numbers that follow it just above.
For Example: 1 + 3 = 4
