Who Can Mindfulness-Based Therapy Help?

of mindfulness. It can help people with mental health issues like depression,
addiction, anxiety, and other mental conditions. It can also help you if you have

physical problems that are causing or caused by your mental health issues.
It also helps to develop fractures such as compassion, concentration,and
acceptance and lower it negative thoughts , emotions or behaviours such as
auto-criticism ,stress and impulsive behaviour etc.It considered as Third

It was developed by therapists Zindel Segal, Mark Williams, and John Teasdale,
who sought to build upon cognitive therapy. They felt that by integrating cognitive
therapy with a program developed in 1979 by Jon Kabat-Zinn called
mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), therapy could be more effective.
Other types of Therapy that incorporates Mindfulness:-
1-Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) assists the person in identifying and
changing destructive thinking patterns.
2-Acceptance And Commitment Therapy(ACT):-
In Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, you learn how to practice mindfulness in
exercises designed to foster a greater awareness of your emotions.
The ACT can also help you deal with pain by allowing you to detach from the
thoughts surrounding them. When the thoughts are separated from the emotions,
the feelings can subside. You can assess your situation more rationally and make
better choices.
3- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction MBSR):-
Hope to cooping with stress, Anxiety and Depressives Disorders.
4-Mindfulness based cognitive Therapy:-
combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies in order to
help individuals better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions in
order to achieve relief from feelings of distress.
4- Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) :-
Useful in the treatment of addictions like smoking etc.
