To a significant extent conservatives disagree over the economy. Although all branches of
conservatism have a common agreement on capitalism they differ greatly on the role of the
state in the economy and what approaches work best.
- Therefore they disagree as One nation and traditional conservatives believe in state
intervention to prevent uprisings whilst the new right meanwhile neo liberals in the
new right believe in a minimalist minarchist state.
- New right rebukes the welfare state but one nation conservatives believe the state
should act in a paternalistic society.
- All agree on property rights being essential
