• Presents after a period of amenorrhea of
9 weeks with painless PV bleeding. She
reports having done a PDT (pregnancy
test) 3 weeks ago which had turned
positive.

– Abortion
– Hydatidiform mole
– Ectopic pregnancy
– Dysfunctional uterine bleeding
– Coincidental causes – infections; neoplasms; trauma
