7. Hospice pt in dying process. Family wants feeding tube b/c pt is refusing to eat = it’s
natural for pt to refuse food at this stage and can be difficult for family members.

9. Client with disease = 92-year-old who has pneumonia and late-stage Alzheimer disease
10. Terminal dx pt = Physician assisted suicide is not allowed in every state = NO
11. No, children who are at risk for anorexia, usually strive for academic excellence.
12. Bulimia Nervosa = Potassium level
13. Pt experiencing Alcohol withdrawal and taking Naltrexone what does pt need to know
before taking it = pt has to be opiate free for 10 days

15. 17 yr. old female being d/c w/ dx of Anorexia education = Combination of group and
individualized therapy is recommended
16. New nurse precepting on mental health unit. Says there is an error in pts chart. Has hx
of anorexia. But pts dx is Bulimia = Yes, it is possible for pt to have a hx of both
17. Resource document for eating d/o = nurse includes that anorexia also occurs in anxiety

18. Fluoxetine = administered at a high dose for bulimia than depression
19. Binge purge Bulimia pt = Complete the client ECG
20. School nurse teaching high school students about the dangers of inhalant abuse. What
should be included? = inhalant abuse may cause a coma to occur
21. Maintenance phase
22. SATA-Reduce stress, reduce coping skills, and reduce the influence of risk factors (1,2,5)
23. I am feeling diaphoretic and SOB
24. Neg. Stem- Psychoactive drugs are (Opiates, Alcohol, Marijuana, and Benzodiazepines)

28. I have oral surgery next week, and will tell the dentist to refrain from prescribing
narcotics for my pain
