Exploring Health Challenges Associated with Poverty: Finding Solutions for Canadian Families
Statement of the Issue/Phenomenon:
Many Canadians face health problems because they don't have enough money. When people
are poor, they can't afford healthy food, medicine, or a doctor when they need one. This makes
them more likely to get sick and have trouble staying healthy. Families who don't have much
money struggle even more because they can't afford to take care of everyone's health needs.
Rationale:
I want to study this because it's not fair that some people get sick just because they don't have
enough money. I think it's important to find ways to help families who are struggling to stay
healthy because of poverty.

Question:
How can we make sure that people who don't have a lot of money can still be healthy in
Canada, especially families who are struggling the most?
Importance to the Study of Families:
This is important because when someone in a family gets sick because they don't have enough
money for healthcare or good food, it affects everyone else too. Families want to take care of
each other, but it's hard when they don't have the resources they need. If we can figure out
how to make sure everyone has access to good healthcare, food, and housing, it would make
life better for a lot of families.
