Staging A specific function in which resources are assembled in an area at or near the incident scene to await instructions or assignment. Stairwell Support Group A group of firefighters who move equipment and water supply hose lines up and down the stairwells at a high-rise fire incident. The stairwell support unit leader reports to the support branch director or the logistics section chief. Strike Team Specified combinations of the same kind and type of resources, with common communications and a leader. Strike Team Leader A supervisory position that is in charge of a group of similar resources. Support Branch A Branch within the Logistics Section.
