Personality And Leadership
Personality is a significant component that may affect an individual's actions and how
they relate to and communicate with others. It is crucial to the study of leadership since it may
affect how a person leads, their capacity to drive others, and how they can engage with their
team. The Big Five Personality Aspects is a model of personality that defines five major
dimensions used to characterize personality (Oshio et al., 2018). Psychologists developed the
model at the University of California, Davis.
These traits include neuroticism, openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion,
and agreeableness (Oshio et al., 2018). In addition, transformational and transactional leadership
characteristics have been the primary focus of research in leadership studies. In the following
essay, the Big Five Personality Dimensions will be identified and described. This will be
followed by an analysis of the two most important personality characteristics for leadership
