EFFECTIVE INTERPERSONAL
SKILLS (P4).
Interpersonal skills are skills that we use everyday to
communicate with other people either individually or in group or
both. People communicate with each other in various way, for
example when we are communicating with having hearing
problems, we use sign language method to communicate
effectively. Interpersonal communication can be defined as the
process by which people exchange information, feeling and
meaning through verbal and non verbal messages. Verbal
communication is the use of words and sounds to communicate.
For example, when someone ask you something that you don’t
want to do and when you replied “No”, this said to be verbal
communication because of the use of words and sound. On other
hand, nonverbal communication is the communication without
using of words either written or spoken. For example of non
verbal communication is shaking of hands, pushing or hugging
(the use of body language).
, Interpersonal skills is not what actually said or
language used but how it said or how nonverbal
messages sent. One of the benefit of
interpersonal skills is that, it helps to exchange
information between two people or more. In
organization, employees with good interpersonal
skills are the team players who work well with
other to achieve goals. Employers seek for
people who are not only have experiences and
knowledge but also people who have strong
interpersonal skills such as problem solving,
knowledge sharing which enable employee to
work well with others to achieve company
objectives. The following is the range of

These are principle needed to get permit to work in
a work place. Employees in work place have
different work principles. that helps them to work
effectively to accomplish goals in work place. The
following are work principles:
Experiences. This is the one of interpersonal skills
that valued in any organization. Employee can have
experiences for particular job because he have
already done that job for a long time. An employee
with experiences in workplace they can start to
contribute in a work place from day they join and
also helps employee to work independently and
effectively. For example having experience in
network engineering can help employee to
configure and manage network effectively.
