, INTRODUCTION
Leishmaniasis are a group of protozoal
diseases caused by parasites. It is
transmitted to human by the bite of an
infected phlebotomine sandfly.
The disease affects some of the poorest
people and is associated with malnutrition,
population, displacement, poor housing , a
weak immune system and lack of financial
resources.

Leishmaniasis is an infectious
disease caused by Flagellated
protozoa of the genus leishmania and
is generally transmitted by the bite
of an infected female phlebotomine
sandfly.
