Rickettsiae is a gram negative bacteria
that lives inside the cell of the host
It is often found in ticks, lice, fleas, mites,
chiggers and mammals.
This includes genera rickettsiae,
Ehrlichia, Orientia and Coxiella
This zoonotic pathogens cause infection
that disseminate in the blood to many
organs
