What was Handel’s intention/purpose when he created this work?
When he created his work, Handels intended to incorporate religion and tradition in his music,
using sacred texts to create a soothing tone and dramatic chorus. He tries to use emotional
aspects and includes a message along with the music.
SLIDE 7: What are the key elements of the new Classical music?
The key elements of new classical music are what the movements are on, the cultural aspect
of the aspect is not moving, but now elegant and ordered more. Had the balance between
emotion and reason.
An expression that is: elegant and graceful, refined and ordered, unsentimental and logical,
balance and clarity.
Connected less with: the church and absolute monarchy and more with wealthy individuals
and families, many of her were with nobility.
Connected more with: It connected more with all people who think to reason and order and
not just the ones associated with church or status.
