NAME: Sarah Robinson
AGE: 34
GENDER: Female
DISABILITY: Generalized Anxiety Disorder
BACKGROUND:
For the past ten years, 34-year-old Sarah Robinson has struggled with
mental health issues. In her mid-20s, she received a diagnosis of
generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Sarah's difficulties with her mental
health have had a big influence on her capacity to keep a stable job and
build relationships. She has a history of academic and professional
success, but her circumstances have prevented her growth.
Sarah suffers from intense sorrow and hopelessness associated with
Major Anxiety Disorder. These phases can be devastating, causing
periods of fatigue, a loss of interest in past interests, irregular sleep and
eating patterns, and other symptoms. Even after going through
counselling and taking medication, Sarah still has trouble properly
controlling her symptoms.
ENVIRONMENT:
Sarah lives in a compact apartment with just one bedroom. She spends
most of her time indoors and lives alone. Also, the neighbourhood Sarah
lives in is reasonably safe, but she occasionally gets nervous about her
neighbours.

SUPPORT SYSTEM:
Her parents died when she was young, so she doesn't have a lot of
family support. She also had a boyfriend, but he left her because of her
mental health, and they had a difficult relationship. Whenever she feels
down, her friend Jess visits to encourage her.
GOALS:
Sarah's primary aim is to develop coping strategies that will help her
manage her anxiety better. She wants to gain a better understanding of
her causes and learn how to reduce their impact on her daily life. She
also intends to look into employment rehabilitation options that will allow
her to gradually return to the workforce in a supportive environment.
Sarah is also interested in connecting with peer support groups so she
can share her experiences and learn from others who have faced similar
challenges. She believes that creating a support network will help her
recovery.
