, chapter Overview
This chapter is about a farmer's firm
faith ·in God.' lencho is a hardworking
farmer . Hailstones destroy his crops.
He feels that only God can help hi m .
so he writes a letter to God requesting
to send him one hundred pesos. The
postmaster reads lencho's letter. He
deeides to help Lencho. He is able to
collect 70 pesos from his colleagues
(aid sends a letter to Lencho with the
-, ne y. Lencho gets angry on counting
1111 money and leels that the post
allce employees have taken some of
he money God sent him. So he writes
another letter to God. This time he
asks God to send him the remaining
money, but not through the post as he
does not have faith in the people
working in the postoffice.
