,Synopsis of Tesco

Tesco PLC, founded in 1919, is a retail company known for its
supermarkets and diverse product offerings. Headquartered in
Hertfordshire, England, Tesco operates across Europe and Asia, offering
groceries, clothing, electronics, and more. With innovations like self-
service checkouts and the Clubcard loyalty program, Tesco prioritizes
customer satisfaction. It also ventures into banking and
telecommunications through Tesco Bank and Tesco Mobile. Committed to
sustainability, Tesco aims to reduce its environmental impact and support
local communities. Despite challenges, Tesco remains a prominent
business in the global retail landscape, adapting to changing consumer
needs and market trends.

Size: Tesco has over 4,673 stores worldwide as of 2021 and around over
330,000 employees as of 2024.

Business Activities: Tesco has many businesses activities. Some of the key
business activities include sustainability and corporate responsibility,
technology and innovation, main operations, financial services, food and
beverage industry and retail operations.

Tesco operates many supermarkets and convenience stores that sell a
diverse range of products that include fresh produce, household goods,
electronics, clothing and more. As well as this, they supply a wide variety
of food products for their consumers such as packaged foods, beverages,
snacks and ready to eat meals (these include their own brand plus
others). Tesco provide a wide range of financial services to their
customers that include credit cards, loans, saving products and banking.
These services ensure customer loyalty and ensure customers come back
to make more sales for the company.



Methods of Recruitment: Tesco have various methods of recruiting their
candidates to their diverse job roles. The first method that Tesco uses to
advertise their job roles is via the internet; this can be either on their
official website or on apps such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor. This
allows candidates to browse positions and apply directly online. Linking to
this method, Tesco also used social media to advertise job roles. For
example, they would advertise on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to
engage with potential candidates and highlight its employer brand. This is
a main method that Tesco uses as it allows Tesco to reach a wide range of
job applicates quickly and build a positive relationship.

, Another way Tesco recruits employees is via recruitment agencies. Tesco
would ask recruitment agencies to assist in sourcing and screening
candidates for specialized and more important positions. These agencies
will help Tesco find more qualified candidates through networks and
industry expertise which speeds up the recruitment process. This links
into the next method Tesco uses to recruit candidates which is through
employee referrals. Tesco encourages current employees to refer qualified
candidates which fosters a sense of engagement and teamwork within the
organization which creates a positive work environment.

In conclusion, the methods that Tesco recruits are online job portals,
Tesco careers website, recruitment agencies, employee referrals, campus
recruitment, social media, internal mobility, and assessment centres.

Synopsis of Dyson

Dyson is a technology company that was made by James Dyson in 1991.
(“Dyson SWOT Analysis - The Strategy Story”) It is recognized globally for
its innovative household appliances. From cyclonic vacuum cleaners to a
diverse range of products including bladeless fans, air purifiers, and hair
care tools, Dyson prioritizes the most recent technology, smooth and
simplistic design, and environmental responsibility. With a commitment to
research and development, Dyson engineers deliver intuitive and efficient
solutions. Their global presence is supported by strategic marketing and
distribution channels, making Dyson shape the future of home appliances
worldwide.

Size: Dyson has an estimated 10k-50k employees and have several stores
worldwide where customers can try out their products.

Business Activities: Research and Development, Marketing and Branding,
Customer Support and Services, Sales and Distribution, Product Design
and Manufacturing.

2005 by Min-Liang Tan and Robert Krakoff. The company’s products
include gaming laptops, keyboards, mice, headsets, and accessories.
Razer's commitment to esports and gaming communities is evident
through its partnerships, sponsorships, and initiatives aimed at supporting
and engaging gamers worldwide. Razer continues to push the boundaries
