Central question: “How do we know that?ˮ
★ Contemplate multifaceted, ambiguous, and uncertain questions with
multiple plausible answers
● Effectively navigate the world, preparation for encounters with novel and
complex situations
★ Awareness of and reflection on own perspectives, beliefs and
assumptions
★ Engage with multiple perspectives, build open-mindedness, develop
intercultural understanding
● Make connections between academic disciplines by exploring underlying

● Comparing and contrasting methods of inquiry in different areas of
knowledge,
★ Consider the importance of values, responsibilities, and ethical concerns

Knowledge and the Knower
Reflect on self as a knower and a thinker, and consider the different
communities of knowers to which we belong.

More in-depth look at two chosen themes that all have a significant impact
on the modern world and play a key role in shaping peopleʼs perspectives
and identities.
