Abstract
,Hotels make up a large portion of the hospitality industry, which is highly reliant on its
workforce due to how service-intensive it is. From the front-facing Front Office, Housekeeping,
and Food and Beverage departments to the back-office Accounting and Engineering divisions,
all hotel departments must collaborate to ensure efficient operations. Even though it is
expected that an employee hired into a specific position will best suit the job description,
training serves as a tactical tool to implement the differentiation strategy by developing a team
of high-quality staff to provide an exceptional level of service and to meet the guests'
expectations. According to studies, training is linked to new technology utilisation, a better
ability to satisfy a target market, more qualified staff, enhanced self-awareness, a better
attitude, and increased teamwork. They also demonstrate a connection between training and
enhanced self-worth, lower turnover, better product and service consistency, more customer
happiness, and lower operating expenses.
