Physiology description: The study of the functions of living organisms is
known as physiology.

Branches of Physiology i- Human Physiology The study of the functions of
different organs of the mortal body.



ii- Cell Physiology The study of the functions of the cell is called cell
physiology.

iii- Pathophysiology The study of the functions of pathogens, contagions,
bacteria, and microorganisms. iv- Neurophysiology The study of the
functions of the brain & spinal cord is known as neurophysiology.

v- Exercise Physiology Exercise physiology the physiology, which explains
the normal functioning of mortal body during exercise. exemplification:

skin, heart, lungs, stomach, and pancreas - Releasing agents for Insulin &
Glucagon, are pancreas - Brain- eating pathogen is Amoeba. - Largest gland
is liver Glands They're special organs that primarily cache hormones.
Endocrine Glands:

A system of glands that release hormones to execute multitudinous
functions in the mortal body is called endocrine system. Pancreas is an
endocrine gland. - In pancreas, nascence cells that secret glucagon a
hormone which raise blood sugar situations - In pancreas, beta cells that
cache insulin, a hormone that lowers the blood sugar situations.

Hormones: Hormones are chemical couriers that are produced by glands in
order to help in control and regulation of different functions in the body. - In
males, DHT( di- hydro testosterone): contributes to development of muscles,
heightening of voice and growth of facial hair. - Increases facial hair but
decreases head hair. Types of Glands

i- Pituitary Gland The lowest gland in the cranial depression is associated
with the hypothalamus. It also helps die rent glands to serve. Heart rate,
breathing rate are each controlled by it. Pituitary complaint: Growth
Hormone Imbalance causes" Gigantism" if increased exorbitantly. causes"
Dwarfism" if dropped exorbitantly.

ii- Pineal Gland The gland which is also called the 3rd eye, lies in the cranial
depression. It substantially secretes melatonin( sleep hormone) which
controls the circadian meter( natural timepiece). It's controlled by the
pituitary gland. Pineal Disorder excess affair of melatonin leads to"
