Advantage and Disadvantage of Online Teaching during The Time
of Covid-19 Pandemic
ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic has disturbed ordinary exercises, for example, going to class, moving
schooling on the web. In view of information assembled through an overview (N = 100), this paper
investigations advantage and disadvantage of online teaching during Covid-19 Pandemic.” Online
teaching holds the key for future education system in India. In future, online teaching will play a
main role in advancement of Changing learning system.

INTRODUCTION
The Indian education system is generally based on regular and traditional education. It is also
recognized as reverse to basics conventional education. The main role of conventional training is to
send to the next-generation those skills facts and standards of moral and social conducts that
adults considered to be necessary for the next generations.
Corona virus has affected almost all spheres of human life. Its wider impact on other areas will
gradually emerge. But in the education system, the effect is already visible. However, to minimize its
loss, the central government fell to India. Work has started on the online scheme and it has also
sought suggestions from the public to make it better. Under this, all the courses from school
education to college level are starting online as much as possible. The education system of our
country is generally based on regular and traditional classroom method with very limited
means of online education and limited scope of online learning. In this difficult time of lockdown
where all schools and colleges are closed. The education of all classes of school and college has
been made possible online. Students all over the world are able to do their studies using online
education. If there was no online medium today, this year education would have remained
incomplete and millions of children would not be able to study! At present there are various modes
available for conducting online classes. Such as video conferencing, video recording and sharing,
audio notes, PPT, etc., with the help of different kinds of software and smart phone applications,
like Google meet, Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Team, etc.
In India majority of students are facing network and internet connectivity issue, and also some
students face the issue of non availability of proper gadgets, and some students are struggling to
get access to the software and proper application because of lack of knowledge in the particular
field, especially in case of students living in rural areas,
, In the online mode of teaching, a student can get access to classes from their home safely and they
can get various top rated courses and classes for free of cost or minimum cost. With online mode
students can also have access to class material whenever they want and it creates an opportunity
for the students to learn on the go as well.
Most of the educators along with students and administrators are facing many problems because
they were adapted to the traditional classroom method. In the early stages of adopting online
methods of teaching, it is very important to provide development programs and training on how to
access and adopt the environment of online teaching.
OBJECTIVES
1. To identify the online teaching platform and their uses.
2. To identify the difficulty faced by students with online learning during Covid-19 pandemic.
3. To identify the advantage of online teaching mode.
Scope of the study
Scope of the study is related to the analysis of advantages of Online teaching in the times of Covid-
19 pandemic with the special reference to Jiwaji University students.
Research Design
The study includes both primary and secondary data. The primary data is gathered through the
questionnaires from hundred students from various College of Jiwaji University.
The secondary data is collected from various published sources, such as journals,
newspaper,websites, etc.
Limitations of the study
1. This study is kept limited to only B.Ed. Students of Jiwaji University.
2. This study is also been limited to 100 respondents only.
3. Time constraint while collected data.
4. It is non preferable to generalize all the data from this study.
The Online method of teaching
Online education requires high speed internet which is easy to get for people living in cities and
metros, but internet is not available in rural areas. Online education is a unique and wonderful
medium. Today people cannot go to many universities and many cities where they can study.
Online education has made these things simple. You can enroll in such university online and study
your favorite subject. Internet has become cheaper so it becomes available in people's homes.
