The assessment objective is assessed through the following: • selection of the three movement components (ie action, spatial and dynamic elements) • manipulation of the movement components through the use of choreographic devices • structuring of movement material and sectional use of choreographic structures • use of other constituent features: the aural setting (and physical setting where appropriate) • use of the other constituent features: dancers. Set tasks 0 1 Choreograph a dance based on an exploration of the formal elements of one sculpture created by Laurent Martin “Lo” (born 1955). Please include an image of the chosen sculpture with your programme note. 0 2 Choreograph a dance based on an exploration of the concept of dichotomy. 0 3 Choreograph a dance based on an exploration of the game of chess. The above tasks are sources for the choreographic process and outcome. Student responses can be individual and unique in relation to the source.
