AIM…..  Achieve good outcome for the mother and baby  prevent any complications that occur in pregnancy, labour and postpartum period  WHO recommends that:  Women can benefit from a few but thorough ANC visits  Ideally women should receive at least 4 (being revised to 8) thorough, comprehensive, personalized ANC visits during the entire pg.  Each visit should be viewed as the ONLY VISIT the woman will ever make  The four comprehensive personalized visits: (READ ON THE REVISED WHO recommended 8 ANC visits) 1st visit: 16weeks 2nd visit: 16-28weeks 3rd visit: 28-32weeks 4th visit: 32-40week
