Introduction –

The researcher that conducted This experiment is trying to show that
energy drink does affect our heart rate, how energy drink is really bad for
our health as when you drink a full can yes you can feel more alert and
energized to do work but the after math of drinking energy drink is worser
then you think as you also might feel like your heart starts beating rapidly,
start shaking, can cause anxiety and nausea, there has been cases in the
past of people dying because of the amount of energy drink they
consume, Which has led to cardiac arrest. The main side effect of energy
drink is heart complications e.g. irregular heartbeat and heart failure.
Energy drinks can be dangerous if consumed too much or used carelessly.
They usually contain significant amounts of sugar and caffeine, which can
have negative effects like elevated blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, and
in some cases, palpitations of the heart. On top of that, regular energy
drink usage has been linked to possible long-term health risks like obesity,
type 2 diabetes, and dental issues. It's crucial to take it in limited amounts
and to be aware of any possible health effects.
As energy drink contain caffeine which is diuretic this means that it
actually drains water from the body this leads to dehydration, athletes
consume energy drinks often this means that when they exercise they are
dehydrated.
Equipment used –
• Energy drink (red bull)
• Pulse meter


Method –
1.Measure the resting heart rate of each participant before consuming
energy drink or placebo.
2.Divide participants into two groups –
•Experimental Group Given the energy drink.
•Control Group, Given the placebo (e.g flavoured water).
3.Participants consume the assigned drink under supervision.
4.Measure participants' heart rates at every 15 minutes after consuming
the energy drink, continuing for 2 hours.
5.Record heart rate data for each participant in both the experimental and
control groups.
