2024.
Time allowed: 21–23 minutes (including 5 minutes’ preparation time at the start of the test)
Instructions
The contents of this Booklet must be treated as strictly confidential until the end of the test
window.
Candidates must not use a dictionary at any time during the preparation period or during the test.
During the 5 minutes’ preparation time at the start of the test, candidates are required to prepare
one of the two cards given to them.
Candidates may make notes during the preparation time only on the Additional Answer Sheet
provided. They must not write on the card.
Candidates may refer to the card and any notes they have made at any time during this section of
the test.
Candidates should hand the stimulus card and the Additional Answer Sheet to you before the start
of the independent research section.
Information
The test will last approximately 16–18 minutes and will consist of a stimulus card (5–6 minutes), a
presentation by the candidate of his/her research project (2 minutes) and a discussion of the
research project (9–10 minutes). The discussion should focus on the content of the research, not
the process.
You will ask the questions exactly as they are printed on the card and may ask follow-up questions
to develop the discussion of the sub-theme.
You will give a brief response to any questions which the candidate asks you during the
discussion.
If the candidate does not ask two questions, you will invite the candidate to do so before the end of
the discussion on the sub-theme.
To develop the discussion of the sub-theme, candidates will be expected to respond to questions
and discuss in Spanish broader issues within the sub-theme on the card.

Un 24% de las mujeres en América Latina se casa antes de cumplir los 18 años.
En México, un 6% de los hombres casados y un 10% de las mujeres casadas son adolescentes. Un
15% de ellas ya son madres.
Muchas se casan por dinero, a veces con hombres mayores que les prometen una vida mejor, pero
al final terminan esclavizadas. Otras se casan por miedo o para huir de la violencia en sus
propios hogares.

Rappi es una de las empresas más exitosas de Sudamérica. Nació en Colombia y ya tiene allí más
de 3 millones de usuarios.
Rappi es una plataforma en Internet que ofrece todo tipo de servicios – hacerte la compra, pedir
comida de un restaurante, traerte dinero en efectivo, o incluso traerte un paquete o pasear al perro.
Pero los repartidores de Rappi, los “rappitenderos”, protestan y piden mayores beneficios, más
sueldo y mejores condiciones de trabajo.
