Plants can be classified into 3 parts. They are
1. Herbs
2. Shrubs
3. Trees
Herbs:
Plants with green and tender stems is called
Herbs.
Usually short.
May not have many branches.
Ex: Rice, Wheat, Maize, Sunflower.
Shrubs:
Some plants develop branches near the base of
stem. The stem is hard but not very thick. Such
plants called Shrubs.
Ex: Lemon, China rose, Jasmine.
, Trees:
Some plants are very tall and have hard and thick
stem. The stems have branches in the upper part,
much above the ground. Such plants are called
Trees.
Ex: Mango, Neem, Banyan.
Creepers:
Plants with weak stems that cannot stand
upright but spread on ground are called
creepers.
Ex: Pumpkin, Watermelon.
Climbers:
Plants which creep on the ground and spread
out is called climbers.
Ex: Pea, Grape, Wine.
LEAF:
Petiole:
The part of leaf by which it is attached to the
stem.
Lamina:
The broad green part of the leaf.
