Muscles in human body
The human muscular system consists of over 600 muscles that enable movement, maintain posture, and support vital bodily functions. Muscles are made of fibers that contract to produce force, with three main types: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac. Skeletal muscles attach to bones and allow voluntary movements; smooth muscles are found in organs, controlling involuntary actions like digestion; and cardiac muscle is unique to the heart, enabling it to pump blood. This system works with the skeletal and nervous systems to provide mobility, stability, and essential bodily functions.
