Objective vs. Subjective Data
• Subjective data: information provided by the patient
• Objective date: Is the physical data we can observe using our senses.
Objective findings come in either a measurement or a direct observation.
Objective data cannot be argued, as it is measured and observed
through vitals, tests, and physical exams.
Surgical Pre-Opt Checklist: List: used to ensure that all required care has
been best preformed and that the patient is prepares properly for surgery
• Complete your pre-surgery consultation. If a nurse has not called you
within 48 hours of your surgery, call the hospital where your surgery is
