When are some times that amenorrhea would be considered normal?
Pregnancy, after menopause, during lactation, when the uterus is removed.

Excessive bleeding, lasting more than 7 days, requires more than 2 pads per day
or extends 3 days longer than usual.

Infrequent menstruation.
Usual cause of oligomenorrhea and amenorrhea:

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
fluid filled cysts that form in the ovarian follicles.
