a. Product Owner work on Product Backlog
b. Scrum Team turns selection of work into Increment during Sprint
c. Scrum Team and its stakeholder inspect the results and adjust for the
next Sprint
d. Repeat
4. Various processes, techniques and methods can be employed within the
framework
5. Scrum is founded on
o Empiricism - asserts that knowledge comes from experience and decides
on what is observed
o Lean thinking - reduces waste and focuses on the essentials
6. Scrum employs an iterative, incremental approach to optimize predictability and
control risk.
7. Scrum pillars
o Transparency
• Process and work must be visible to the team
• Low transparency can lead to decisions that diminish value and
increase risk
• Important decisions are based on perceived state of 3 formal
artifacts
