1. Full vs partial mediation
Full mediation = Mediator fully explains the relationship between X and Y. (Rarely
occurs)
Partial mediation = Mediator partially explains the relationship between X and Y.
There are two pathways how X influences Y (there is also a pathway where X directly
influences Y).
Direct effect from X on Y.
Indirect effect how X effects Y.

1. Direct and indirect effect in same direction
If X increases, the mediator increases and Y increases.
