There are mainly two species of Agrobacterium:
i. A. tumefaciens that induces crown gall disease.
Virulence through Ti Plasmid (pTi)
ii. A. rhizogenes (Rhizobium rhizogenes)
that induces hairy root disease.
Virulence through Ri Plasmid (pRi)
