Firstly, licenses have to be acquired before indulging in the food service industry. The licenses
are dependent on the specific category under which on wishes to indulge in. There are licenses
for processed foods, cold storage or refrigeration, Frozen food Locker plants, Water bottling,
Retail food program, Pet foods etc. There are guidelines to be achieved y each category so as to
achieve the status of being given a license. Training is also offered in various departments such
as food safety Training among others.
Managing a restaurant has its own us and downs. Managers of restaurants in California
have to go through a number of challenges as enlisted below:
Cultural Barriers
Managers of restaurants in California are supposed to work with employees who are
immigrants. They also have to serve customers from different backgrounds. Language and
