choles- terol = fat emulsion in ileum

in this?: ¸Rest and digest = parasympathetic --> sends a signal which
tells liver to stimulate bile production and to small intestine to begin
digestion

¸Bile salts & cholesterol reabsorbed and returned to liver, and are

Gallstones = solid pieces of cholesterol --> can cause clogs in gallbladde
which creates a backup of bile leading to swelling


Common bile duct connects to pancreatic duct

pregnancies- excess estrogen from pregnancy or birth control pills can
increase risk = Affect 50% of women by age 70
¸Age- risk increases after 40, highest between 70-70 years

weight, especially for women

¸Medications- those that lower cholesterol
