1. What is postpartum hemorrghage?: e 1,000 mL of blood loss within 24
hours of birth with s/s of hypovolemia
2. Primary PPH?: Within 24 hours after birth, caused by uterine atony
3. Secondary PPH?: 24hrs-12 wks after birth
Can be caused by: •Perineal lacerations
• Uterine Inversion
• Subinvolution
• Uterine rupture
4. S/S of Hypovolemic Shock?: Increased
