Mansur was very thorough and strict with his work. He ensured that everyone understood his
expectations. He followed unique method of teaching and expected everyone to cooperate. He
offered little room for discussion about the exam and tests. He set the rules and everyone
followed.
Hussein was a very nice lecturer who always engaged the students in and out of class. He
discussed with the students the most convenient time to hold lectures and even gave students a
chance to explain their areas of difficulty before exams to help them in their revision.
Norman on the other hand encouraged students to learn through presentations. He could give
questions and students would be expected to research and make presentations for the class. He
would then give tests that would be marked and graded by fellow students.

1. What differences did you observe in how each leader tried to influence you?
Mansur was a very strong leader that I envied. He was always straight forward and everyone
knew what he wanted. Hussein on the other hand was a very nice person who was always ready
to help and as a leader, I would love to know that my followers can depend on me. Norman on
the other hand trusted the students and gave them space to learn on their own which helped to
build confidence and encouraged teamwork.
2. How did the leaders differ in their use of rewards and punishments?
Mansur always praised the best performers and kept calling out their names. However, he
scorned the poor performers.
Hussein always praised hard work and always encouraged the poor performers to do better.
Norman was more interested in team work and paid little attention to individual performance.
3. What did you observe about how other reacted to each leader.
Mansur- He was very feared and students strived to finish his assignments on time to avoid
punishment.
Hussein- He was loved and students were always close to him.
Norman- He was adored by the students who loved the freedom he gave.
