Summary PSYCHOANALYTIC THEORY
Psychoanalytic theory is based on the assumption that individuals have unconscious thoughts, desires, memories, and feelings which may cause clinical symptoms. This theory was established by Dr. Sigmund Freud in the early 1890s, whose work was inspired largely by Dr. Josef Breuer.
