power to make decisions despite considering others' inputs (Kothari, 2023).
This directive leadership style has been chosen in this assessment to
comprehend advantages of controlling decision-making as well as its
shortcomings that needs to be resolved to achieve a competitive advantage in
the recent volatile digital environment.

Autocratic leadership style does not need external involvement during
decision-making, centralised decision-making process has been followed by
leaders (Kumar, 2023).
Followers are restricted to ask questions in decision-making and they follow
directions provided by autocratic leaders.
A clear hierarchical structure has been followed in this type of leadership style,
in which leaders at the top position (Bhandari, 2023).
One-way communication has been followed in this leadership and directive
execution of operations have been followed by the team. Apart from these,
this type of leadership helped to make decisions quickly without long
, deliberation which significantly enhances leaders' potential accountability of
decided outcomes.

In education leadership, autocratic leadership allows leaders to decide quickly
and provide clear direction to learners and staff (Fatimah and Syahrani, 2022).
Uniform standards in autocratic leadership allows consistent rules and policies
in educational institutions which streamline education procedure smoothly.
During a crisis, ensuring safety of students by quick decisions and with
authoritative communication patterns autocratic leaders can manage
difficulties (Shahbal et al., 2022).
Considering educational leadership context, autocratic leaders' decision action
strengthens their competencies in managing school discipline and consistent
learning process for students. On the other hand, implementing policies and
directive execution of educational activities foster students' capabilities
positively.

A major drawback of this leadership style lies in its stifling creativity and
autonomy.
Due to authoritative power, lack of collaboration and ineffective
communication has been identified as significant cons of this leadership style
(Maqbool et al., 2024).
