Duty to Act means that if you are employed by an agency as an EMR and you are
dispatched to the scene of an accident/illness, you have a duty to respond and render
emergency medical care within scope of practice. Standard of Care means that you
must treat the patient to the best of your ability and provide care that is reasonable for
one with similar training to perform under similar circumstances.

LPM.
