MUGHAL EMPIRE
Babur was the first ruler in the Mughal Empire. His full name is Zahir-ud-din Muhammad Babur.
He founded the Mughal Empire in India in 1526 after defeating Ibrahim Lodi in the First Battle of Panipat.
He was born in 1483 CE. He was a descendant of Timur and Genghis Khan.
He was the ruler of Fergana in Central Asia.
The first six Mughals were called the Early Mughals or the Great Mughals, and the others were called the Late
Mughals.
The word 'Mughal' meant 'Mongol' in the Hindustani language.
The word 'Mughal' came from the Persian language.
Babur defeated the Rajputs and Afghans etc. by using his artillery and superior military tactics.
He died in 1530. His autobiography is known as 'Baburnama' or 'Tuzuk-i-Baburi'.
